Ukiyo-e Tea Room / 1st Floor
Our special 1st-floor Tea Room exhibits the complete “Famous Views of the Fifty-three Stations” series by the renowned Edo-period Ukiyo-e artist, Utagawa Hiroshige. Experience a peaceful moment in this luxurious space where Japanese history and art beautifully merge.

The tea room on the 1st floor displays Utagawa Hiroshige’s (1826-1869) “Fifty-three Stations Famous Places Illustrated” in connection with Kyoto’s Sanjo Bridge.
*A series of 55 ukiyo-e woodblock prints depicting the 53 stations of the Tokaido route connecting Edo to Kyoto, plus Nihonbashi and Kyoto’s Sanjo Bridge.
